PARA DIZER "TCHAU HAITI" / TO SAY "BYE HAITI"

Olá amigos tudo bem??

Nos perdoem por estarmos meio atrasados com a nossa postagem devido a correria da viagem e começo das aulas.

Então, chegou o dia de irmos embora do Haiti, e para encerrar esta viagem iremos contar sobre uma das nossa ultimas experiencias lá.

Na nossa última semana, tivemos a oportunidade de visitar mais uma comunidade que fica a 1 h de Port Au Prince em direção norte perto do mar, ela se chama Catcale. Infelizmente é dentre as comunidades que visitamos, a que vive em piores condições. Por exemplo, a água que chega até lá não é tratada e as crianças tem muitos problemas de saúde por causa disto. Eles conseguiram montar uma escola, com a ajuda de uma ONG, a estrutura é legal tem carteiras e cadeiras, o únicos problema é que eles não tem como pagar por professores, então os poucos professores que dão aula lá são voluntários com um coração enorme.

Fomos recebidos por mais de 200 crianças, sim era muuuuita criança, nos dividimos e td deu certo. Mais uma vez dei orientações de higiene e escovação e distribui escovas, aqui acabaram todas as pastas e escovas que eu tinha !hehe

Please forgive us for being to late with this new postage, this week was very busy to us due to the school beginning. 

So, the time to say goodbye to Haiti has come, and to mark the end of our trip, we would like to describe you how was one of our last experiences there.

On our last week, we had the opportunity to visit another community, which is one hour from Port-au-Prince driving to the north, near to the sea, its name is Catcale. Unfortunately, among all communities we have been visiting during this last month is the one which has the worst living condition. For example, the water supplied to them is not treated, it means, is not proper for human consuming. Due to this, most part of the children have health problems. With a big effort from the community, they could get build a school there, the structure of the school is good, but they can't afford teachers to work there, so then, the little amount of teacher that work there are volunteers.

Arriving there, we were welcomed by more than 200 children, yes, that was a big amount of them!! But we divided them in groups and it was OK. I gave oral health orientations again and gave them the rest of tooth paste and tooth brush I had.

Tava muuuuito calor, na volta aproveitamos para dar um mergulho em uma praia bem perto (no Haiti quase todas as praias são pagas, mas achamos um pedacinho que era grátis hahahaha)

The weather was so hot there that we enjoy to take a dive in the beach near to the community. (In Haiti, almost all beaches are payed, but we found a little piece of sand that was free....hahahah)

Sobre o Haiti é isso ! Foi uma viagem maravilhosa, aproveitamos muito cada minuto que ficamos lá, conhecemos pessoas maravilhosas. Deus nos ensinou muito, aprendemos muito com eles tb! Foi uma experiência íncrível, não tem como explicar este sentimento. Nós voltamos de lá diferentes do que quando chegamos, com toda certeza, já mudamos alguns hábitos aqui de casa, como economia de luz e água. Fica a dica pra que todo mundo faça isto, para que não nos falte num futuro próximo. E nosso coração também voltou muito agradecido a Deus por tudo o que temos e por senti-lo sempre muito próximo das nossas vidas !

That is all about Haiti folks!! It was an amazing trip, we could enjoy each minute that we stayed there. We met awesome people. God taught us a lot, I can say that we learned a lot of things with that people. It was an amazing experience, it is really tough to explain this feeling. Surely, we came back thinking differently, we have already changed some habits like to reduce the usage of electricity and water, for example. By the way, that is our advise for everybody. Our hearts also became more thankful to God for everything we have and for having He so close to us!!
