...PARA UMA MISSÃO NO HAITI/ FOR A MISSION IN HAITI (PART 1)

Queremos compartilhar com vocês um pouco sobre a nossa viagem ao Haiti.

Há muito tempo tínhamos este sonho, então, quando ficamos sabendo que íriamos morar nos EUA já pensamos "nós precisamos fazer uma viagem missionária", juntamos dinheiro e pesquisamos. Deus foi nos guiando e providenciando tudo; e após passar algumas dificuldades para vir (isso inclui perder o primeiro vôo) aqui estamos! Estamos alojados desde terça-feira na base missionária da MAIS (Missão em Apoio à Igreja Sofredora), uma organização brasileira, mas que hj conta somente com haitianos trabalhando nesta base. Vamos trabalhar em conjunto com a organização por 20 dias e após teremos 5 dias livres para passear ou viajar.

 Chegando no aeroporto já foi um choque bem grande, muita, mas muita gente mesmo querendo ajudar em troca de dinheiro. Andando pela cidade a gente viu muito comércio nas ruas, procurando bem vc é capaz de encontrar qualquer coisa. Já o trânsito, este é um caos, sinaleiros são praticamente inexistentes, a preferêrencia é de quem buzina mais! Chegando aqui na base, fomos muito bem recebidos pelos missionários e o pastor daqui. Já no primeiro dia participamos do aniversário de uma das meninas aqui da base. Eles falam crioulle, mas o parabéns foi em francês hehe

We wanna share with you guys a few moments of our trip to Haiti.

Long time ago we have been dreaming with this trip, and then when we knew we would live in USA we decided that it would be the best moment to make a missionary trip. We saved some money and we got prepared for this trip. God guided us during all moments before the trip and he also provided everything that we needed to make this dream come true. After some troubles (including lost the first flight) HERE WE ARE!! We are hosted since last Tuesday at MAIS' missionary base (Mission to Support the Surfed Church), a Brazilian organization which supports the community here in Haiti and now count only on Haitians working in this base. We'll work together them during 20 days and later we will have 5 days to visit different places.

When we arrived on the airport we got very surprised with the huge amount of people trying to help us for some cash. Driving around we could see a lot of street commerce, if you look well you are able to find everything you want to...lol. Concerning to the traffic, it is a mess!! The yield is whose horn louder. Getting here at the MAIS' base, we were very welcomed by the missionaries and the pastor that lives here. Even in our first day we were invited to a birthday party of a girl who lives here. They all speak Crioulle here in Haiti, however the birthday song was sung in French. (It was very funny...lol)
